Declared "Europe's First Cultural Itinerary", The Way of Saint James is made up of the different routes that pilgrims from Europe have opened since the 9th century to the tomb of the Apostle Santiago, in Compostela. Over the centuries, entire towns, churches, hospitals and commercial routes emerged over the centuries, which today constitute a true cultural, historical, artistic and landscape treasure.

The Interpretation Center of The Way of Saint James in Orio offers complete information on the whole of The Way of Saint James. The interpretation center is located in the historical old town of Orio, in Iturriaga Palace, a house from the XVI Century.

The center also has interactive modules, audiovisual projections and different educational materials. All the galleries are adapted to people with reduced mobility.
